SARATOGA NATIONAL BANK NEWS
• February 13, 2008 - “In the aftermath of the
devastating fire earlier this week in the Village of Corinth, we are
committing up to $5 million in funding for Village redevelopment”, according
to Saratoga National Bank Chairman, President and CEO Raymond O’Conor.
“We will be offering loans to qualified borrowers at reduced rates with
flexible terms, in order to help one of our most valued communities
recover and prosper.”
In the coming weeks O’Conor plans to meet with Mayor Bradley Winslow,
village officials and with local and regional economic development professionals
to help develop a plan for the future of the Village’s downtown. Saratoga
National Bank acquired its banking office in Corinth from HSBC three
years ago. “We made that acquisition because we believe in the future
of this community,” according to O’Conor.
• November 29, 2007 - Saratoga
National Bank and Trust Company's Jones Road Office has announced that

The food drive will benefit the Saratoga County Economic
Opportunity Council's food pantry. The coat drive will benefit the Franklin
Community Center in Saratoga Springs. Cudney's Dry Cleaners has graciously
agreed to clean all coats donated at the bank.

• October 22, 2007 - Saratoga National Bank
& Trust Company announced it is participating in the Independent
Community Bankers of America's (ICBA) National Community Bank Mortgage
Week, Nov. 5-9. Nationwide, local community banks will review the mortgage
documents of current homeowners, as well as discuss financing options
with first-time homebuyers who see an opportunity to own their own home.
“We’re inviting local homeowners and first time homebuyers
to come to Saratoga National Bank, to let us review their loan documents
and discuss financing options,” said Raymond O’Conor, President, CEO
and Chairman. “Anyone who would like to take advantage of this can just
call us and we’ll set up an appointment to speak with one of our mortgage
officers.”
“There is a lot of confusion about mortgages and home
buying right now,” said O’Conor. Mortgage holders can visit Saratoga
National for a review of their mortgage documents. Community banks want
to help the borrower understand what type of mortgage loan they have.
Community banks are placing a special focus on reaching out to borrowers
who have mortgages with terms they don’t understand and wish to have
it reviewed by a loan officer they can trust.
“Community banks are well run, highly capitalized
and highly regulated institutions that are not generally experiencing
the credit and funding problems we’re hearing about these days,” said
O’Conor. “We’re encouraging people to come talk to common sense lenders
who follow sound underwriting guidelines and will help borrowers find
a mortgage that is right for them.”
Business partners who have joined Community Bank Mortgage
Week include Fannie Mae, the Federal Home Loan Banks, Freddie Mac, as
well as national non-profit partners NeighborWorks® America and
the Homeownership Preservation Foundation.
